A question about Parrot fish (Cichlids)

I didn't see the Parrot fish in the fish profile. Does anyone know what water parameters suite them best? The parameters in this tank are as follows:

Ammonia, 0
ph, 7.8
nitrites 0
nitrates 10

It's a 75g and well planted.

Thanks for anyones input.

What else is in your tank?
The parrot will make short work of the plants, I'd move them if possible.

Am changing the title of this thread so as not to confuse it with Marine (Saltwater) Parrot Fish.

10g Fry / Hospital / QT tank (as needed)

75g Saltwater Reef, Ocellaris Clownfish, Lyretail Antias (baby), Lemon damsel, Longtail Fairy Wrasse, purple dottyback, snails, crabs and a few LPS corals.

220g Still sitting empty (come on Lottery I need the numbers to come up!)

Another point is do you mean Blood Parrot Cichlid or the True Parrot which has the scientific name Hoplarchus psittacus.

There is a big difference in what size tank they need. True Parrots need very large 125g+ tanks for a pair as they grow to about 14-16" considerably more than the Blood Parrots who remain small.

There's another kind? Whoops I was thinking blood parrot.
I'm sure the other kind will ruin your plants too, they just like doing that I'm general.
