Okay, so this is a lesson in why you must carefully read an ebay item description before you bid on it. I placed a bid on some tanks that were a fantastic deal and it looks like I'm going to be the winner. (we'll know in about 12 hours)
Now, it turns out that there are about 15 cichlids, 1
Yoyo Loach and a few zebra danios that are 'included'
Here's the list:
3 kenyi
1
Red Zebra
1 yellow lab
1 'all yellow'
1
Auratus
1 hap venustus
1 powder blue
3 acei
1 small demasoni
The tanks are a 30 gallon high and 20 gallon high, nowhere near enough real estate for these fish. I'm particularly concerned about rehoming that hap venustus. I already have a
Red Zebra, yellow lab, and
Auratus, provided none of these are females, I will likely be rehoming those three. Same goes for two of the kenyi and two of the acei. Definitely rehoming the yoyo. I already have a home lined up for the danios.
Any thoughts on the rest? I'm thinking I'll end up with an overstocked 30 high with 6-8 cichlids juvenile cichlids in it. Definitely will need to upgrade tank size, sooner rather than later, but it'll do as a stopgap measure for the time being.
I'll post here tonight or tomorrow morning when I know for sure I've won the auction. After I pick up the fish I'll get some photos up for ID and "dibs"
Cheers,
Ashkat
