Planning a Cichlid Tank

Hey all,

I'm in the early planning stages of a cichlid tank in the range of 75-125 gallons (haven't decided on an exact size yet). What I'm looking for is a good source of info on the various species. For example, which species go well together, good photos, info on different varieties, etc.

Either online or a good book to pick up will work.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Eric

Google. I know, it's a smartalecky thing to say, but start with Google. Find any one fish you like and search it in Google. You'll get a bunch of places to look. You can use fishbase to find out other members in its genus and family (one way of getting a good list off cichlids) and finding out what other fish live in it's habitat. You'll surely run into the Cichlid room companion, the cichlid forums, and a ton of other sites. I like the advice badman gives (badman.com) and I am not real happy with monangabay (I have run across things I know to be bunk there).

I also know there are a bunch of great books out there you can get through TFH.
