peacful african cichlids?

hello i have a 55 gallon community tank planted with guppies tetras kribs and typical community fish . i was wonder if there are any african cichlids that are peaceful and could thrive in my tank for example a sunshine peacock. the fish will be a centerpiece( if not any other suggestions0?!:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):) :):):):)

I would stay away from the africans from the lakes for the most part. They usually need to be kept a certain way like in a harem or by pairs. I certainly wouldn't keep a peacock by itself. Plus I am pretty sure a peacock would make short work of your guppies. Actually you already have an african in your tank. Kribs are african cichlids. I would get more until you have a pair and go with those.
