ok my dad has 2 little oscars, they have been paired since we got them about 5-6 day ago, is there a way to tell gender, maybe not since there small but still, and we give them each 2 feeders a day so 4 total, 2 in the morn and 2 in the night, is this ok?

It is almost impossible to determine their genders. Do you see any tube protruding out of their anus?

Lupin the tube doesn't come out of the anus but just in front.

I would change there diet. Feeders are like feed a child cotton candy all day. Id find a high quality pellet like hakari and use that as a staple diet and add feeders for fun every once in a while.

What size tank are they in?

there are in a 10 gallon right now there only about 2 inches

my dad say when they get a little bigger he will get a 55.

They should already be in a 55. You should have a 125-135 for two oscars. If kept right they should grow at least an inch a month till they reach around 6-7.

Even though they are still small, they WILL need a bigger tank sooner rather that later. Oscars can be fairly aggressive and 10 gallons is not enough water for the submissive fish to escape the attentions of the dominant one. Oscars are also big waste producers, your dad will probably have a hard time keeping the tank cycled. Also please stop feeding them feeders, they really are not that good for them, (especially if they are Goldfish) and the hunting and killing the feeders will only sharpen their aggressive tendencies. At 2 inches, these fish may get along now, but as soon as puberty hits you can expect their personalities to change. As for food, try NLS chichlid pellets, if you can find that where you live.
