if they get good reviews then why not.

before i talked to a discus breeder, i like the idea that i can pick them uo and see how they ar before having to pay for them instead of online

I don't think I'd do it. Since discus are pretty sensitive fish, I'd be more concerned with having them shipped than most other fish. Also, those prices aren't that great. I've definitely seen similar prices in many fish stores, which allows you to pick out the fish yourself and be sure they are healthy. Also, keep in mind that shipping for fish can be very expensive. If I were buying fish as expensive as discus, I would try to find a local breeder or check around and a bunch of different LFS's to find the best looking fish and best deals.

IMHO I would go for the one or more that you have found even if they are 60 dollars. The shipping for those you foundonline will no doubt be at least 40 dollars or more. The only way they will gaurantee live fish is NEXT DAY or Overnight delivery and that is expensive. Add to that the fact that young Discus do not always travel as well as larger specimens.Besides and in my view most importantly, The 60 dollar fish you have found have no doubt been in the particular dealers tank for some days if not weeks. The dealers PH may be more in tune with your own. I cannot stress enough the need to stay clear of Wild caught specimens unless your water parameters are in tune with their needs. The website you found is reliable but they do not indicate wild or tank raised discus. I am not trying to discourage you from aquiring what you obviously have your heart set on , I am only attempting to save you heartache.

I've heard *aweful* things about something somethingsphishy.com. DO NOT order from them, especially a sensitive fish that ship badly.

Here's the Better Business Bureau website on them:
