Finally got some water in my tank last night. I live in the UK and have a fluval roma 200. I have had previous experience keeping tropical tanks.

So far I have:

- Added substrate
- Added bogwood
- Added 20 KG of rock to form caves and hiding spaces
- Added tap safe

I must admit I am still in 2 minds about which direction to take my tank, but am leaning towards a Lake Malawi setup and Cichlids.

Obviously I am cycling at the moment, with the heater set at 78-82° F.

Is there anything I should be doing in addition to normal tropical cycling?

Thanks in advance.

How are you cycling the tank?

Also do you know if you have hard or soft water, this will play a big decision in what you can stock in the tank.

52g gives you a good amount of options.
