New Member Needs Advice

Hello All,

Great forum here, thanks for letting me be a part of it!

Heres my question:

I have a 4" Green Severum in a 55g tank along with a 2" Pleco. The tank has driftwood cover inside. with 2 Penguin 400's.

She is EXTREMELY shy. I would like to add some dither fish, but scanning the web I get mixed ideas of what to add.

I know I don't want fin nippers and a small group of 6-10 would be nice. However, I don't want them to become a menu item, as my Severum gets larger.

Any suggetions would be great!!!

Welcome to Fishforum.com.

Your severum will be fine with some giant danios, scissortail rasboras, Buenos Aires tetras, Congo tetras, glass bloodfins and penguin tetras. These are a few I can remember.

What pleco do you have?

Thank you for the response.

I'm not sure, at the local Aquarium shop it was just listed as a Pleco.

But it's black about 2-3" long with orange stripe, blocked type pattern. Ideas?

To be a little more descriptive, he's actually like a light brown or light orange with black spots.

Without a picture of the pleco, it's hard to say - but welcome to the forum!!

Oh - and as a severum keeper myself, I'd love to see some pics of yours if you can :)
