hi
the spots on the tail is called an egg spot,
the males have them to attract the female into thinking she
has dropped some eggs, when she comes to collect them the male diposits sperm, and the eggs that she is carrying become fertilized.

1) different cichs will breed with each other, i have seen so many different combinations come into the fish store it is crazy. it is just hard to tell who will breed with who.

2)this is a 29-33g tank? correct? i would get rid of all the non-cichlid fish to free up a little space in there.

3)the tank looks good!
