lol....yes i have heard of such a thing....my LFS wont guarentee ANY live stock, fish, reptiles, inverts....NOTHING so i am VERY selective in the fish i purchase from them!!

my lfs wont let me but fish with out my parent or some ID...i dont have id (im only 16)....but i have a college card but they wont acept that as ID (very anoying) ...and yes im the same when buying fish...only the best will do...i have been to my pet shop and come away empty handed until there were "fresher" stock or better conditioned fish :):):)

there isnt anything in maryland?? not even by ocean city?? that is kinda strange that an LFS wont let you purchase with out ID but i guess its kinda good about the parent thing...they dont want kids buying things without parental concent bc then they may not be taken care of properly

yes i understand where their coming from its just that i am 16 (i can buy fish at 16 over here) but i carnt prove im 16 ....ANNOYING!!!!!

There are plenty of LFS in maryland just not where I live. I have to drive about an hour to go to a LFS so it's not a trip I can take often. Petco is around here but the quality and service sucks.

agreed!! although....i alwys seem to be in the right place at the right time....this is actually where i got these 2 from, as well as the albino oscar (previous thread) all for FREE because some one brought them in and when they are donated they arent allowed to resell them only "adopt them out"

Where in Maryland are you? I know of several good stores in Montgomery County as well as a pretty decent one in Glen Burnie.
