new fish in a 125 l tank

hi all...i am new to the forum and new to aquariums...i have a 125 litre tank and recently put 4 fish in the tank..2female golden cichlids about 2",1 blue dolphin 5" and 1rusty cichlid 3".....i tested the water and the figures i got are....p-h...7.0.....ammonia0.25..nitrite..0.25ppm...nitrat e40 ppm....are these fish compatable and going to thrive in these present conditions...any advice would be a great help....thanks mal.

First, may I welcome you to Tropical Fish Keeping forum. And to this wonderful hobby.

I think you may have some issues with this mix of fish in (to them) such a small space. The Golden cichlid is presumably Melanochromis auratus which is very aggressive. The Blue dolphin Cyrtocara moorii attains 8+ inches and is by comparison peaceful but need a much larger space.

Our member Tazman can elaborate, he has considerable experience with cichlids.

Next issue is cycling, is this tank cycled? Of were the fish added to a new setup? You can read about cycling here:
