I called Pet Kingdom yesterday and talked to the freshwater fish guy. He told me that they would be fine. I did add 3 aquatic Malasysian driftwood that I got at the same place. I covered them with java moss & java ferns and put them in each corner of the tank. One peice of planted driftwood over a blk. PVC pipe. I have 3 of these 2" pipes on each side and the middle for the loaches or other fish to retreat to. They are doing great in my tank and love all the room to swim around and live plants. The driftwood should lower the PH some. I think I will keep them and see how they do. I did a 20% water change on Sat. and I will do another 20% today. So I will do this twice a week in that tank just to keep the water really good. Here are some more pictuires I took of them today. One picture of them together and 2 pictures of the female I got on Sunday.

Beautiful blue rams! I hope they last in your tank though...

If they're anything like bolivians, they will tolerate a higher pH, but not hard water. I actually am lucky to have soft water where I live, but when I had them in with my hard water fish, they did not look good. And actually since I've moved them to my blackwater tank, they've really started to show their true colors.

But yours look nice right now... In fact, in some of your pictures they almost look like they've got breeding colors on!

Looks great, good luck!

Kym, I will let you know how they do. All the Wild Columbian Rams looked great in the tank they had them in. They must have had about 20-30 of them. No sign of any health problems. They told me that they were in our San Diego water and seem to be doing very well in my tank so far.I asked if they were tank raised or wild and he did not know. I guess you would have to ask the owner or the person that orders the fish for the store. If they do well I would go to Pet Kingdom and get some for yourself. They had more males then females. Just because I have a pair does not mean they will mate. I do not have a spare tank to house a pair with fry anyways. My 20 gal. has Bumblebee platies and fry from them and some fancy guppy fry and my 10 has about 32 Blk. Moscow guppy fry, My 6 gal. has the 3 male guppies. I'm not going to get another tank.

I'd love to have some, but like you, I have no more room in any of my tanks and I'm not even close to being ready as far as setting up a new tank. I wish I was.
I will live vicariously through yours!

PS. Did you get my email I sent to you about the concert tickets??

Bummer! It's going to be a great show. I emailed you once yesterday, and twice today. You never received any of them? I wonder if my emails are going into your spam folder? I had a feeling I should have called you when I didn't hear back from you right away. Darn. I really wanted to go!
