New angelfish

Hi everybody! It's been a while since I was on here, but I'll try to stay updated on the forum from now on.
Anyway, I had been waiting for my angels to breed. I had the tank set up perfectly, water temps stable, filter covered with a sponge (so it wouldn't suck up fry), and a breeding slate, large leafed plants, and an upturned flower pot for them to spawn on. I thought I had a few pregnant females in the tank, and I thought that surely two would pair off and spawn, but nothing happened. Then, everything started falling apart. The aquarium silicone I used to cover the hole in the flower pot came off, my plants died, and the breeding slate was covered in algae. I ended up removing the flower pot and dying plants. The next week, I saw that my lfs had recently gotten a bunch of both big and little black angels. I hate to say this, but it was the dirty store that usually didn't care for its fish. Fortunately, they had hired somebody who actually cared about fish and kept the tanks clean. I figured I could trade in my big angels and get some smaller black ones. Since the pricing is similar on big and small angels, I traded my 5 big angelfish for 6 small blacks. Unfortunately, while the store had hired a fish lover, they had also hired a money lover. Another employee (there's only 2 at a time working) was actually scooping out the fish. He cheated me! He let me pick out the ones I wanted, and when he told me that I had picked the last one (of my "6") he put them in a bag, and then put the bag the fish were in into an opaque bag. I was so excited about getting the color I wanted, I didn't take out the bag of fish until I got home. I let them acclimate, and just when I was about to let them out, I noticed that there were actually only 5! 5 big fish for 5 small fish is not a fair trade! I immediately called the store and asked to speak to the employee who had scooped out my fish. He told me that the fish I had given him were not that big and that he thought it was a fair trade. I argued until he acted like he was doing me a favor and he said I could come back to the store and get another black angelfish. I went back, and guess where the employee had put my angels that "weren't that big"? In the large angelfish section! There was a sale on black angels, buy 2 get 1 free, so they had apparently gotten more than they could easily take care of. The employee asked me to pick the one I wanted, and I pointed one out. Let me just say, I'm surprised the angelfish didn't die instantly because of how forcefully and quickly it was scooped out. I left the store and put the last angelfish in my tank.
The next morning, I went to my aquarium, and saw, to my horror, that one of the angelfish had gotten stuck behind that stupid sponge I forgot to take out. It died soon after that. I immediately removed the sponge, and have had no more dead angelfish after that. The angelfish have now become friendly and active in my aquarium, and will rush to the top if they think food is coming and will rush to the side of the aquarium to look at whoever is passing by. I will post pics as soon as I can, but for now, I'm on the road back home. We're about to leave a hotel and travel an hour and a half to get home, so I have to end this. I'll check in again once I get home.

Sorry for the long post, but that's what's happened since I was on last time.
