need help with my cichilds

i got them from the fish store as african cichlids but there are many diffrent types so i was wondering if anyone can tell me what kind they are one is white with black dots on it one is purple/blue with yellow on its side and i have a blue with black stripes on its side (longways) also i got the floating food pelts for them and they dontgo to the top to eat them i have been feeding them ghost shrimp and guppys cuz i cant get them to eat any thing else except bloodworms and is there any other kind of fish i can put with them and what would be good to put in the tank that eats alge and left over food? thank you

We need pics to determine your fish. Unless those cichlids are haplochromis, you are feeding them the wrong way. Too much proteins can lead to bloat eventually killing your fish in the process. You need to stick to vegetable matter such as cucumber for their diet and try New Life Spectrum for a start.

these are the best i could do for you just diffrent sides of the fish so can you tell now? check my pictures well i tryed to add them and i cant figure out how but any one that want to see what they look like pm me your email and i can send them that way with the subject being fish

The blue one looks to be a blue ahli to me..... maybe my eyes are deceiving me.

and maybe this girrafe hap is your other fish.

what about the blue one with gold on the side and the blue with the yellow fins? i have put them in with a pleco cat fish and also two fire mouth cichlids and everyone gets along great and going as they have been together for about a month now awsome!!

The blue and gold one is a Auloncara dont know by the pic what type thou. I think it's Auloncara hueseri .
