Need Help Identifying These Cichlids

So I adopted two cichlids today from my local fish store. I think they are Kenyi cichlids but I just want to make sure. Thanks!!1

Oh they are so very pretty!! I'm glad you posted pics... I saw your other thread and was hoping you would post a pic. How did you come to get fish for free/adoption? What else will be in the tank with them? It looks big, how many gallons?

Dont think they are Kenyi, they lack the stripes. My bet would be Melanocrhomis Johanni. Females tend to be yellow.

thank you!!! they were at petco... the owner was moving out of the country and unfortunately could not take his fish with him. There are those two fish as well as a pleco. The tank is a 37 gallon tank and dont kill me because it is "to small" of a tank ;) I will be getting a bigger tank this summer to house them in.

They arent yellow enough to be Johanni females, they are very much like yellow labs in coloration.

They could actually be young Pseudotropheus socolofi if they are more white colored than yellow.

10g Fry / Hospital / QT tank (as needed)

75g Saltwater Reef, Ocellaris Clownfish, Lyretail Antias (baby), Lemon damsel, Longtail Fairy Wrasse, purple dottyback, snails, crabs and a few LPS corals.

220g Still sitting empty (come on Lottery I need the numbers to come up!)
