Marble Angel?

Hi there I am very seriously thinking about moveing the fish I currently have in my 55 gallon into other tanks and purchaseing a group of 25 very small marble angels. This would not be there perminate home just for a few weeks or so until they get some more size on them then I will pick and chose 5-6 of the ones I like the best and trade/sell the others to the LFS. Do you guys think this would be ok? I have researched them and they will work with my water parimeters. Also at what age/size do they normally pair off? I would like to keep at least one pair for breeding but am not sure how big they need to be. They will only be a little bigger than a pea when I recieve them (exludeing the fins) so I think for a few weeks or so they would be ok in the 55 but would like you guys input. I know they can have large groups of fry but I have two LFS that have already said they would be happy to take any young from me.

I think your plan sounds fine, although I'm not sure who is willing to give you fry at that size. Usually you want them at nickel or larger size to make sure the transfer is alright. I'd suggest waiting until then, and just picking out the six or seven that appeal most.

Either way, as far as trying to get a pair or more that one even, this way will work. Keep us updated. Good luck.

Thank you the guy I was going to buy them from was on aquabid but I think I am going to wait a bit longer to get them if I do. I am haveing the carpet replaced in a couple week at my new house and the tank is still at my moms and if I wait until the carpet in replaces it will be much easier on the fish and me. ; )
