Kribensis female... color?

I have a female Krib in my 32g who seems to be doing just fine in the community tank. She is still a juveline krib (only a little more than an inch) but some days she displays colors like crazy and other days she's... bland. So I figure this is just "moodswings" (I am trying real hard not to comment about the fact that she is a female after all here... darn I guess I just did- ) normal stuff that every living being goes through but now I am curious.

Is it really just a display of colors depending on her "state of mind" or is something else affecting it? Does anyone have experience with kribs who could shed some "color" on the matter?

In my experience it has just been "mood swings" :) Other factors could be changing water conditions, lighting, etc, but I doubt it is anything to worry about. Good luck!
