i got 2 breeding pairs temp is 84F ph 7.0 tank is cycled they were always fed flakes , no idea where to guy live food.. i tried beef heart, blood worms frozen, flakes and i have to always suck it out of the tank,.. i herd they can go without eating for awhile but how long is that ?

if they don't feed for long periods of time they could have internal parasites thestomach will go inwards and their growth stunted.i used to feed mine tetra bits.sometimes i mix a batch of tetra bits and ox heart that has been trimmed of fat. then i make small portions using the plastic plate that comes with the freeze dried blood worms and stick them in the freezer.you can just take a pice out and pop them in the tank.
