Is there anything i can do for an epileptic fish?I think my jack dempsie is epileptic because he gets frustrated and hides in the corner of my tank and starts doing barrel rolls, then puts his tail aginst the side of his body and twitchs. Last week i had to save him by catching with my net so that he wouldnt injure his nose:(
I don't know if fish get epilepsy..
Doesn't sound to me like anything can be done, you may be best off putting him down before he hurts himself..
Out of curiosity, what's the tank size, tank mates, how old is be, how big is he? Posted via Mobile Device
Thank you!
I have him, some black skirted tetras and a peacock eel in a 40gal. He is about 4 years old and quite big, I'd say about 8-9 inches long. I have checked all the water paramiters at my lfs. From what I have heard i guess fish can be epileptic. either way he's having seizers and I'm so afraid that he'll hurt himselve if he has another “episode” while I'm not around:(
check the water. and im not sure about his tank makes but JDs are suspose to be one to every 55gals due to how agressive they can be with territory. I might be wrong but someone could tell me if i am or not
