| | Jack Dempsey and Venezuelan Cichlid
I have a jack dempsey in a 55 gallon for about two weeks and I decided to get a Venezuelan Cichlid, which is also a very aggressive fish. I moved some of the rocks around and put the dempsey in a breeder net at the top of the tank for a day while the VC got established. Once I let the dempsey out the net, he always chases the VC around the tank but doesn't seem to be biting him because his fins look fine. He usually hides up at the top of the tank where the JD doesn't notice him. He is eating fine but I would like to know if there is a way I could bring the aggression down. Thanks.
