Jack Dempseys are a very beautiful fish. The problem is for all of their beauty, the are just plain meaner the ****! I would nix the jack. There are many fish just as good looking with a much more amiable personality.

i have my dempsey with zebra danios, 8 of them in fact. Jackal (dempsey) isn't fast enough to catch em. my pleco got beat up alittle but is healed completely, and my cory got alittle stressed out but they all get along now.

except if i put a piece of cucumber or an algea wafer in, then he goes berserk and thinks its all for him! its kind of funny.
