ID please, some sort of Vieja?

wondering if someone could help me identify this cichlid, sold to me as a Vieja synspilum, upon being in the tank for a while he/she colored up and is blue, turquoise, and a little green with red tipped fins. it's only about 2 inches long right now, it was in with the dempseys at the store but it doesn't really look like a dempsey and the store worker who specializes in central american cichlids assured us it wasn't a dempsey. here are some pics to help

Definitely some sort of Vieja...could be Synspillum, but hard to tell at this young age. If he starts to develop red around the head it could be. I bought my Synspillum at around the 2" mark also. Here's some pics of mine to give you a comparison.

In the QT tank when I first bought him:

This pic was taken about a month later when he was moved to the main tank:

And a more recent pic. He's now around the 7" mark:

150 Gallon - Mostly American Cichlids
135 Gallon - Angelfish Community
75 Gallon - Odd couple (Polleni/Angelfish)
55 Gallon - African tank
20 Gallon Long - QT
10 Gallon - Empty

I believe it is a vieja bifasciatus. The solid line sets it apart from synspilus.
