hi
i give mine a little twice a day,and they still scoff the catfish pellets i put
in at night.
they like frozen cichlid diet cubes that i buy,i defrost them in a little tank water
then tip it in,they love it.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

hi
yep you should be able to get it at the pet store, and no don't turn your filter off, give
them some exercise and let them chase the food around, gives to natural behaviour of
foraging for food, only turn off the filter for water change day.

sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Do not over feed your fishes they might die! It will break down into toxins that are harmful to fish. Feed your fish according to their sizes and population. If I have 5 goldfish approximately 3.5 inches maybe the amount of food is 4 pinches. Twice a day is perfect.
