Help quick 8:55pm

Yesterday I did a 20% water change to my 55 gallon tank home to my breeding pair of dempsys with the electric blue gene i also took out 2 decor. logs. Now a day later my fish are acting ab normal with there behavior especially the female. usually wherever the male moves the female moves now she has jus been moving solo around the bottom kinda acts like shes dying but she looks healthy is this normal beahvior because i had them for 1 month now an up until now they were always moving together.

I don't really know but just guessing.
Maybe like other fish water changes get them in the mood ;)

Do you have a water test kit? What are your ammonia, nitrite, and ph levels?

hi
would it be possible to get a liquid test kit,as many people say the test stripes are
unreliable.
the thing that comes to mind for me,is that you have removed decor from the tank,
you could have disturbed an anarobic pocket,or perhaps there is a mini cycle
going on in there.
perhaps another water change would help.

is he hurting her? if so then you should seperate them somehow.
If you are seperating them, i would put the male in the smaller tank imo.
