Have I got a Geophagus Surinamensis????
Yesterday at my LFS I bought an adult 'Geophagus Surinamensis'. I spent a few minutes discussing him with the store keeper as he would be the biggest fish in my tank and I wanted to be sure he would be happy with his new potential tank mates. I've never bought a fish without going home and researching it first but I fell in love with this guy. Anyway on getting him home and researching him on the Internet, everywhere I've looked has said his incredibly rare and many are sold as Geophagus Surinamensis when they are not. So how do I tell for sure if he is the genuine article or something different?
