food for my rams

i just want to no what food rams like since ive never kept a cichlid befor.

shrimp stuff, brine shrimp, shrimp pellets, baby ghost shrimp. They arent that picky though so im sure you can feed them flake food, but you should buy some sinking pellets while your at it. They also like the occaisonal treat of worms but i only feed them frozen worms once every two weeks. My rams eat algae wafers as well so thats there veggies. IMO not picky. Just make sure you put the food right next to them as they mine dont hunt.

My bolivian ram diet:

Monday-Friday: Sinking shrimp Pellets
Saturday: Frozen worm mix (blood, black, tubifex) or Frozen Brine Shrimp
Sunday: Frozen Vegetable meal or Algae wafers

Mine are repeatedly spawning on a daily combo of standard flake food and frozen blood worms. I'm referring to german blue rams however. Mine want nothing to do with ghost shrimp and in fact share a tank with quite a few of them.

alright i cant get them to eat what should i do?they just like to pick at my gravel

they are shy about eating first. Place the food right next to there face, its best to do this when its only them in the tank.

I feed my rams dried blood worms in the morning and flakes in the evening. They will eat.

They love the bottom half of my tank and don't be surprised to see them pick at sinking food. In fact when I first got my pair thats all they ate for the first 2 weeks. Now they pretty much eat from my hand.

mine have not been fed pellets or dry foods since i have gotten them. i feed them a strict veggie diet mainly with brine shrimp and bloodworms twice a week. mine spawn often enough and thier always healthy and colorful.
veggies bring out colors
meats are just plain good for them
