I have had a pretty big "common" pleco before, about 20 cm, but died recently, so I got a new one, pretty small for the moment, will it eat my plants? and what do you mean just ditch it? just kill it and leave it? not only will I feel guilty but they also are not cheap (french shops rip you off) I don't think that's what you meant but I don't have many ways of "ditching it", sorry I often take things badly . Actually I've got a smaller tank which I might try to set up and I might put my pleco in there, the only problem is finding lighting for it.

By ditching it he meant seeing if you could take it back to the pet shop, although with being in France, they may do things differently For the pleco if you do keep him I would keep him in the larger tank, and eventually you will need a larger tank to be able to accomadate him as he grows. If I remember correctly off the top of my head at least a 75 gallon is recommend for a pleco.

Exactly yea sorry if that was not clear. I meant give it away to a pet store, fellow fish keeper, etc. The pleco will defiantly need a bigger tank in time. Somewhere between 75-120 gallons. They get big and need a big tank.
