I agree with twistersmom. Guppies or mollies are your best bet. 1:3 male-female ratio is good for breeding. Egg-layers such as minnows and goldfish tend to produce more, but require extra effort in breeding. Livebearers don't need much assistance in breeding, but you do need to provide lots of hiding places for your fry, as they could get eaten by the parents. But after about a week I think they'll be big enough to not be food.
Generally, larger females produce more fry. I have a large black molly female and she squirts out fry like machinegun bullets. lol
I feed some of the fry (a few days old) to my bettas. It's just the right size for them.
