Thanks! I had company Tuesday until today and Wed we took out the Jaguars and traded them in with other fish. Today I just went to start a tank gravel cleaning and saw the Jewel by the rock. Looked closer and she is laying eggs. So I suspect the other is a male and already they are getting to it!!! Waiting to see what happens in the next few days.

Here I go again!!!! Get fish and get babies/eggs right away.... Guess I won't tear the tank apart to remove the undergravel peat soil and change the medium to sand as was recommended!!

The guppies I got from them are having babies too!!! Maybe I should watch the tank with the 4 cory??!!! I must be doing something right...

Fish are just like people, they will reproduce even when they shouldn't. It can be a good thing but you'll have to watch for other signs to make sure they are doing well. You have been checking water parameters frequently since you got all these guys right?

HaHa Ladayen you made me laugh out loud !!!.... you need a licence to drive a car, a boat (in Ont), have a gun, hold an event, but any idiot can have a kid. Truly scary sometimes!! LOL

oh yes I check the water. Normally do water changes once a week but since I got them I have also done gravel/sand siphoning with an air hose more often where debris piles up. They were swimming freely not like watching fry so I added some more rocks for better hiding places for the peacock.

So far all is ok. A small change in bacterial bloom after adding a few more rocks as I did disturb a bit. And a bit of debri was disturbed. Now they are all reworking where their territory will be. All are swimming more or less peaceful now. Occasional chasing of the peacock.
