electric yellows?

i have alot of fish exp. but not with cichlids... how agressive are electric yellows? would they be ok with oscars pacu and clown loaches? and are they social?

Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction. ~Charles R. Electric yellow labs are one of the more mild-mannered Malawi cichlids, but they are still cichlids to be sure. I still wouldn't mix them with those other fish both because you might get aggression issues and because they prefer hard, alkaline water which the other fish wouldn't appreciate.

None of your fish will ever work with the yellow labs. Consider the water chemistry first thing, dietary requirements, compatibility and space issues.

I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!
If there is one thing I want to see here, it's HUMOR.
I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky!
I think about it every night and day!
I stand in awe of my body.

Motion seconded. You should not be mixing South American Cichlids with African Cichlids.

Furthermore, an Oscar will outgrow the Yellow labs within only a few months. As soon as they can fit them into their mouths, they will seek to do exactly that.

Take pride in what you do, for it is a reflection of who you are.

I want to advice this; you should buy 4 electric yellow(1 male 3 female). They are malawi chiclids. They aren't combative. But a lot of american chiclids are very combative. I have lots of electric yellow. They are great fish and they can repoduce very easy and they are beautiful fish. If you want to feed american chicleds than you shouldn't feed electric yellow.Becasue maybe they can be fight.
(if I can't explain I am sorry because i don't now english enough).
