Eartheaters compatability

My friend has a 180G tank and he wants eartheaters, preferably altifrons, rio brankos, araguias or similar but he isnt sure whether hes current fish would get on with them, what are suitable tank mates for earth eater cichlids as ive always wondered also.
current fish (there will be a couple he could put into other tanks if need be)

4x clown loach
5x yoyo loach
1x headstander
4x bronze cory
2x featherfin catfish
4x eel tail catfish
2x kissing gourami
2x convicts
1x chinese algae eater
4x bristlenose pleco

current filtration is a fluval fx5 canister with a 1200L/h internal.
thanks in advance :)

Before we offer suggestions.

What are you friends water parameters?, general hardness being one required to offer suggestions.

Altifrons are one of the nicest eartheaters however they can be aggressive and also get to about 12" (1ft) in size.

Another thing to consider is what fish do you have available locally? Shipping larger specimens suitable for a 180g tank can be expensive.

10g Fry / Hospital / QT tank (as needed)

75g Saltwater Reef, Ocellaris Clownfish, Lyretail Antias (baby), Lemon damsel, Longtail Fairy Wrasse, purple dottyback, snails, crabs and a few LPS corals.

220g Still sitting empty (come on Lottery I need the numbers to come up!)
