Those fish will outgrow a 55g tank. I would recommend at least a 90g and prferably a 125-135g. Maybe even a 150g. The last 3 are all 6 foot long tanks. The goby cichlid may get bullied since they are not real good swimmers and devote most, if not all, of their time at the lowest levels of the tank. I know of no really large julies which are also a bottom dwelling fish. There may be a conflict waiting to happen there. And big lamps could be a mistake as they are, for the most part, ambush predators in the wild.

I'd like to point out that for the sake of the fish, please do not mix both Lake Tanganyika and Lake Malawi cichlids. I will not recommend plecos in your setup. Stick with Lake Tanganyikan cichlids and synodontis. You will have lesser issues on this.

I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!
If there is one thing I want to see here, it's HUMOR.
I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky!
I think about it every night and day!
I stand in awe of my body.
