Do rams attack guppies?

hi i had a pair of guppies and one male ram and he killed them. He died a natural death and i got a new pair and they have spawned once. Do rams go out of their way to attack guppies? and I I added five guppies would that be okay.

Is this the 38g? I've never had issues mixing blue rams with anything at all except perhaps the shrimps.

I keep Bolivian rams and I can say I know they'd never attack anyone other than quibble with another ram. Heck, mine don't even venture out of the bottom third water strata. Guppies stay middle to the top? Strange behavior, your ram attacking your guppy.

he forced them to stay at the surfae and if they came into sight he would chase them until they got cornerend then bit them and then left them alone... I wish he wouldnt have. Honestly I think I have a better chance at breeding guppies then rams simply because their fry are bigger and they are more prolific

I amybe could add one female guppy to see and if they get along then add more

Try adding some scenery to the mid ground of your tank to break up his line of sight. That is one wierd ram you've got there. Also, when you add your new fishies, change things around a bit so he has to find a new territory. It seems to work with mine.
