Discus water changes

Six 2 1/2" turquoise discus in a 40 gallon breeder.
pH=6.8. Sand substrate, crypts and bacopa. They are eatting new brine shrimp, frozen adult brine shrimp and chiclid pellets from the LFS.
I have been doing small daily water changes with day old tap water.
Does anyone use RO water for discus? I'd think RO with discus buffer and discus trace or Amazon extract would be appropriate, but I'd like to check with someone who keeps discus.
Thanks,
Wayne

I am not a discus keeper but from what I've read, RO water is best unless your water is naturally extremely acidic and soft. Just be sure to use a remineralizer like the Discus Buffer or a similar product if you use RO water.
