Deformed Oscar mouth?

I was at my lfs and I was checking out some Oscars, I noticed one has a really messed up mouth I know this isn't my problem but if I can I would like to point it out to the manager or something.. Not that he probably hasn't noticed but that he should probably do something about it. I'm not sure if this is a disease they are prone too of if he was born with it. If he was born with it then I'm sure he'll be fine because he is a pretty big Oscar. I'll try to describe it the best I can as I have no picture. The side of his lip appears to be sunken in. It looks like he is 'biting' one side of his lip. and in the middle theres a weird little flappy piece of skin or something. It doesn't look very nice at all I feel really bad for him. What if no one wants him and the store just lets him die because he's deformed and can't make them money? Any ideas anyone? Could this maybe be an old injury? I never thought of that... Thanks!

Sounds like injury to me. Is it possible for you to snap away a pic? That would help us better.:) Test their water parameters as well.:)

A picture? Hmm maybe, my camera doesn't hook up to my computer right now but I have a new hard drive so that should fix things. Lol how do I test their water? Just take some water when no ones looking? Haha this sounds like an inside job to me. Maybe it's about time I handed in a resume. I'll see about fixing my computer tomorrow... I was going to say I would go to the fish store tomorrow but the buses don't run often enough and it's snowing like mad right now so it'll be nasty weather to be walking in. Soo... I'll try for monday but tuesday at the latest. Thanks for the reply!

Sounds like they don't allow their customers to test their water. Looking forward to the pic.:)

I'm on my way to the lfs to snap a picture of this oscar. And hand in a resume. Unfortunately my computer problem has not been fixed so it may be another day or so before the pictures are posted... Or even on my computer for that matter.

I just had the genius idea of hooking the camera up to my other computer... Haha I can't believe I never thought of that before. Anyways here he is

. Sorry about the bad quality of the photos. And sorry for the random snail. But I adore my snail and I'm aware that they need calcium but I've been holding off until I have a job. His shell has always been cracked since I got him. but my question is, is that whiteness on his shell erosion? :(

Shouldn't have labelled the images with the fish's names. The names are addled by the forum's fish profiles system.:)
