my other tanks are in another state so i dont have any other cycled substrate or media im gonna get the prime water conditioner today i hear its better then the API stress coat water conditioner ive been using, is it better???(prime)

yes prime is better.. i use a different product called aquamel it removes chlorine chloromine and other harmful things .... its good to read the lable to see what the product does to the water.. stress coat is ok for direct use on the fish but to treat the water you want something a bit more powerful....
