Exclamation crooked tail on my pink convict

When i first bought my fish i fed them hikari and they really liked that food a lot, but when i ran out i couldn't find it anywhere where i lived. this is because i bought the fish in a different town. so i bought some fish food that look similar to what i fed them and they ate it, but idk it wasn't eatin as fast as it was before. then i was low on money and had to buy the flake, and after a day they were all eating it but one...he continued to starve himself for a good few weeks and I thought he was gonna die before i got more money to buy hikari. I just now bought it and he's really eatting, i mean big time, but now i noticed that his tail has an indent...was it cuz he wasn't eating???

Well I guess that its more of an indent on his right back side, and he has no swimming difficulties

Sounds like a swim bladder problem. I'll let someone else answer you better.

Is there any way you could post a picture of the fish? At first I thought you were talking about some sort of fin rot, but if it's an "indent" in the fish's body I'm more inclined to agree with yippee that it's possibly a swim bladder issue. A picture would really help, though.
