I had a couple fiddler crabs with a small female convict.. No problems, but the crabs could get away at any time since i had an underwater island.. I want to put some crayfish in my big tank with my GTs, but Im afraid they will get torn up. Let me know if you have success, good luck.

Not a good idea as both those fish will eat them, or at least injure them by "trying them"

10g Fry / Hospital / QT tank (as needed)

75g Saltwater Reef, Ocellaris Clownfish, Lyretail Antias (baby), Lemon damsel, Longtail Fairy Wrasse, purple dottyback, snails, crabs and a few LPS corals.

220g Still sitting empty (come on Lottery I need the numbers to come up!)

well lildex stated that she had fiddler crabs with a convict without problems and a blue lobster or crayfish is significantly larger than a fiddler crab

I had an electric blue lobster colony in a 75g tank sometime ago, added a GT while a friend resealed his aquarium.

Next morning I had no lobsters alive and a GT swimmingly quite happily, some of the lobsters had chunks missing from them.

75g Saltwater Reef, Ocellaris Clownfish, Lyretail Antias (baby), Lemon damsel, Longtail Fairy Wrasse, purple dottyback, snails, crabs and a few LPS corals.

Let me point out a major difference here (Not the only determining factor, every cichlid has a personality maybe that particular convict liked to think of the crabs as it's pets and thus let them live like we do with many animals that could be food) the fiddler crabs had a place they could go where the convict cichlid could not reach them. If your lobster managed to stand up to the cichlid assaults it would only be a matter of time till it had to molt, when it molts its basically putting an Eat At Here sign on its forehead. It will be nothing but a tasty buffet.

Something else no one pointed out would be the danger to your fish as well. If the crayfish catches one they you can guarantee it is going to do some damage/eat part of its fins or something along those lines. It just is not a good mix for either species.
