Hello and welcome to TFK If you have not come across the section there is a tropical fish profile section which has profiles and the more common kept fish. The link can be found at the top of the page second tab from the left. Also you can access the profile information by clicking on the highlighted name like Severum. As for compatibility the severum and the gourami would probably not be a good mix, gouramis are a more sedate fish and it is recommended not to keep sedate fish with severums. You can find out more by reading the profiles, and again welcome.

You could do a festivum if you can find one or some angelfish. Bolivina rams could work as well as keyhole cichlids, or appitostogrammas(sp?), or blue acaras. There are a lot of options out there.

yea acaras are not THAT aggressive usually but every fish is different. If introduced small in a community setting I think it will do fine.
