Convict tankmates

Hi, so i know the genral rule with convicts is no tank mates, how ever I was on one website that said mollies would be ok with them(I'm Assuming they mean sailfin mollies) , I am just wondering what your thoughts are on this.

I had the same question awhile ago. Just my personal experience, but eventually my males started munching on the fins of my females so i decided it'd be best not to give them any tank mates.... Right now the 3 remaining fish are all in separate tanks. Putting them in pairs seemingly wasn't even an option.

So, needless to say, i'm interested in knowing of any acceptable tank mates, too! It seems kinda pointless to me to have 3 10 gallons with single fish....

So far I've had luck with tetras....up until the convicts begin to breed. After that they started disappearing one by one...I've also had some luck keep 4 convicts and then one pair outgrew the other one and I had to put each pair in seperate tanks...one 30 gal and one 29 gal. I've also heard that tiger barbs would be good but I haven't tried it myself. Usually when they have convicts at stores they are placed in the same tanks as tiger barbs.
