Confirm this cichlids ID - Tropical Fish Keeping - Aquarium fish care and resources

Confirm this cichlids ID

I've been told this is a textilus, but I know nothing other than that. Can anybody confirm what species this is?

Labidochromis textilis

10g Fry / Hospital / QT tank (as needed)

75g Saltwater Reef, Ocellaris Clownfish, Lyretail Antias (baby), Lemon damsel, Longtail Fairy Wrasse, purple dottyback, snails, crabs and a few LPS corals.

220g Still sitting empty (come on Lottery I need the numbers to come up!)

CORRECTION IT IS NOT a Textilis.

It is a Labidochromis joanjohnsonae female!

They look similar but are two separate species.


10g Fry / Hospital / QT tank (as needed)

75g Saltwater Reef, Ocellaris Clownfish, Lyretail Antias (baby), Lemon damsel, Longtail Fairy Wrasse, purple dottyback, snails, crabs and a few LPS corals.

220g Still sitting empty (come on Lottery I need the numbers to come up!)

It's only about an inch long, how can one tell what sex it is?

Males are Blue from birth and only the females are gold/orange like that.
