Hi All;
I just got a new variety of Tanganyika Cichilid - Species 44 (which I think is a really dumb/unoriginal name for a really pretty fish!) I have some Tanganyika fish already, but these seem a bit more agressive - any info here? I got 8 altogether and am hoping to breed them eventually for a couple of local stores.

Hi Willow,
No, I'm a bit computer/camera challenged, but hope to have one soon, or figure out how to take pics w/cell ph. There are some pics online, but still don't show full colour, like a rainbow from front to back, really cool. The fry start out a really boring almost gray, w/stripes & colour gradually (at about 1"). So far I have 8 in varying sizes, but they're growing quickly & I'm planning to give them a tank pretty much of their own, or maybe with my venustus (giraffe). They're too aggressive for the caerulus, or the electric blue johanni (believe it!) so they'll be separated first.
I like the pics of your geckos. We saw some newly hatched babies & eggs at a store the other day. I'll probably never have a lizard, but the geckos & cameleons are my favourite.

Just not my thing, I guess. I think if it died on me, I would feel too bad, because I'd know I did something totally wrong, like freeze it to death or something. The folks next door to us just got in a tiny baby bearded dragon (it's about 1.5 inches and so cute!) Plus I really don't like crickets, or bugs to have to feed them. Yeah, yeah I know what a wus, but I'm not into spiders either so there you go...but I can still admire from afar.

i don't think it's being a wus at all,i can't stand crickets,evil things they are.
i hope you get to find out what fish they are.
