Chichlid question.?

Is there a such thing as an all black Electric Yellow. My Electric Yellow and this black one look the same. My electric yellow is of the lion cove 2 and has the white stripes on his pectrical fins as well as the darker vertical lines on its body. I now have an all black Chiclid that has these same marks and all its shape is the same as the electric yellow but has a white stripe on its dorsal fin as well and a white belly.

Can you post a picture?
I am not convinced the fish you have is a yellow lab with what you describe.
If you are unsure how, I can provide that information.

I was thinking a really dark black convict but not sure. In the photo the white line below him is one of his fins. He is very similar to the yellow in markings but is very darg grey with black vertical markings on his body. I am also and will share a video that I am uploading of him.

It is not a convict.

If you can try and get another picture might make things easier to see.

I am not 100% sure on this but it quite possible that it is a Pseudotropheus afra "Black Eastern", they are rare in the hobby but do sometimes show up.

They do look similar to Yellow labs and that one looks as if it is still young.

I am though 100% sure it is not a convict, the head shape is all wrong.
