I have 3 discus only been in for a few day's ad have settled in really quick feeding swimming around etc., all 3 are of the same size but one of them has taken a real dislike to one of the other chasing him around the tank and nipping him, i say him it might be a girl have no idea but he does not do it to the other one could this just be a pecking order or is this first signs of pairing up? i will add some more discus in a few weeks just adding slowly.
They are about 6 months old i would say around 3 inch mark, been watching them today, he really is haveing a go at the other one, but leaves one alone never has a go at him. feeding time it is worse so i think it could be a pecking order thing. will have to see what happens when the other 2 go in which are bigger. if he has a go at them then he will go as the others 2 are high class a grade and are stunning would settle for just them 2.
Tank is juwel vision 180 only 3 foot long foot and a half tall and one foot wide have loads of hiding places and plants are growing fast, the 3 i have are blue colbalt, checkerboard turqs, and a mandarin passion top of my head, today it is all out war checkerboard is now having a go at both of them and the manderin is having ago at the blue colbalt poor bugger is getting it from both sides, oh dear and now i have seen some plant flicking doh..... cant see any thing on the fish and have treated with a good wormer, this sucks big time
