It is my first time keeping Cichlids. I chose a pair of kribs for my 20 gal long set up. I have driftwood, slate and some anubias. I am running a fluval 2 plus filter at the moment. I am hoping they will breed. Any suggestions or tips are very much appreciated. I am feeding them omega one flakes and frozen brine shrimp. How often should I feed the frozen food? Should I set up an air powered sponge filter instead of the one I have going? The pair interact with each other, the male chases the female from time to time but the aggression dosn't seam to be anything more than what I've read is normal. I have also read that some people add a school of tetras or barbs as dither fish to help occupy the pair? Is this something that is suggested. I do not have a flower pot or coconut shell in the tank but the wood and rocks make many caves, do you think these are sufficient or should I add another cave. PH is 7, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite. I have added some blackwater extract to help keep the ph neutral, I figure over time I will not need to add this as the driftwood will stare to lower the ph.
