Thumbs up Breeding Cichlids - Time Cycle?

Anyone know what the best light cycle is for breeding? 12-12 light/dark? or 8-16? l/d.

My yellow tails have started breeding already but I was wondering what cycle would be best, also I have heard talk of moonlight cycles, I have night lights on my tank and have been using them for 5 days now and that's when I noticed my yellow tail carrying eggs in her mouth.

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
