The boss is digging up a storm!

I had to share this..maybe next time I can catch him in the act then take another video. My tank boss who is a Rusty Cichlid has an amazing ability to dig HUGE cave systems. The best part is he does it when he is mad and always spits the sand at other fish and makes a huge mess. (sorry the tank is a little dirty..been out of town too much to do a water change for almost a month). I leveled the sand yesterday for fun and he has already dug it all up... even clear through to the glass lol. This is why you'll see sand everywhere all over the rocks.

My Rusty and Afra complete to see who can make the most mess in the tank.

I level the sand in the morning before going to work and by the time I get home they have rearranged everything!

They are cichlids and they like to dig that is fore sure!

Before my boss Rusty killed the original boss my Acei they would pick out all the black sand and create a black pile in the back of the tank. haven't done that since the over throw of Acei's reign. Weird weird fish!

My afra is by far tank boss in mine, it is smaller than the 6 acei I have. The Placidochromis Milomo's are also major diggers, they arent adult yet but they sure can move a lot of sand and spit it out everywhere.

I had a video which I lost when my hard drive crashed of them covering one of the plecos in sand, all 5 of them sucking sand and spitting it out. Was hilarious..not so much for the pleco.

Moved aound the rocks to calm down the Boss( praying this works). But I like how it looks and again the boss is digging and spitting sad at the other fish but he isn't going as crazy with it as he did before. I mean..seriously..the sand was almost kinda level this morning! haha.
