I have done it and they went well together, I am just not sure about breeding how big is your aquarium?

180 litres is a decent size, I think that you have to remember these fish like to hang around near the bottom and middle of the tank so a 180litre corner tank wouldnt work as good as a standard rectangular tank. Saying that tho Ive kept both fish, seperatley but in community setups and in my experiance they are very peaceful as far as cichlids are concerned . I think you'd only have problems if you got them paired up and they started defending breeding territories. Just remember to break up the line of sight with plants and decor so they can establish thier own little corner.

Rams are just gorgeous and keyholes are too cute I wish I had thought of that combo

I agree. Both are fairly peaceful cichlids but to avoid problems it would probably be a good idea to set up the tank so that that they have distinct territories they can retreat to if they feel the need.
