Blue and Gold Rams - Sexing & What to do...

I have 3 blue rams and 1 gold ram in a 70 gallon aquarium with assorted loaches and corys
and one red-tailed black shark.2 of the blue rams are females, and one is a male. I have noticed that the male and one particular female use one end of the tank and the other female stays on the other end by
herself and isn't getting as big and often doesnt have the good clolors of the others.
She also gets aggresive when I add new fish to the tank.

I'm not sure if the gold is a male or female. (help with that would be great!)

No what should I do? I hate to add a small male, which is the only thing I could get now. I know the others would probably kill him.

I was thinking I could raise him up in a 10 gallon tank and then introduce him into the 70 gallon.

So my question is, is the 70 gallon big enough for the 2 pair of blue rams? or would the

males constaly fight?

Thanks a lot!

Golds are tough to sex, some males also have pink on the body, but for sure the females have pink belies when they mature, a pair in general needs about 10-12inches of space and some cover would be nice.
Tough to tell from these photos the sex of the Gold rams, are they fighting?
I have 2 pairs in 55GL and 2 in 65gl
great fish to keep
Yes the males will fight a little, but it is ok

Just to confuse the issue a tad. Some female rams don't have a pink belly, a better method of sex determination is that males tend to be higher bodied & possess longer anterior rays (first 3) in the dorsal as well as longer ventrals. I would say that your gold ram is a male but your 70 is good for a whole colony of rams without any serious confrontations (say four or 5 pairs). The more, the merrier. I can't recall ever witnessing a ram doing serious damage to another ram but in a smaller (under 20 gal.) it could possibly happen.

As this is always a tough call, I can't say for sure, but it looks like the anal fin on the gold ram, when laid flat, would not extend past the base of the tail fin, a strong indicator that it's female. I know that holds for blues, would assume the same for golds, but you what they say about assumptions. Anyhoo, my guess is female on the gold...
