Question blood mouth oscar?

Is there such thing as a blood mouth or fire mouth oscar? My mom just got back from the pet store, with my little sister (they were getting her a goldfish) and she said she had talked with the guy in charge of fish there. I'm getting my angelfish on Friday, that's when there'll be the the biggest selection of angels. But they guy in charge said he would rather have me breed blood mouth oscars, my mom said. They're supposedly easier to breed than angels and less labor intensive (really, less labor intensive than angelfish sounds like guppies). My mom told him we have a 29 gallon tank, and he said that kind of oscar didn't get as big as the other kinds. Does anyone know anything about these, or do you think it was actually a firemouth cichlid?

the things people will say to make a buck! I seriously doubt there is firemouth oscar in existance. And if there is(which theres not) then it surely would out grow a 29 gallon tank.
I think someone could mate an oscar with a firemouth but that is so unlikely to happen considering the species are so unbelievealby different.

I'd be willing to bet he was talking about firemouth cichlids. Firemouths are generally pretty docile, so far as cichlids go, and a breeding pair could probably be kept in a 29g. I wouldn't keep them with small fish or other cichlids if you plan on breeding them, though.
